This is kind of a weird one. This is the intro theme to the Sonic Mega Collection on the Gamecube. I never owned it, but I used to play this game at a friend's house in my early teens.
This song pretty much lives rent free in my brain. It takes me back to a time when the videogame industry wasn't just a bunch of shareholder-driven conglomerates. But also a time full of wonder, when I was excited to find and experience things, and it seemed like anything was possible. I think it's important to remember the way that you felt as a kid, and to channel that perspective into modern life. Life can still be wondrous. It's okay to be excited and amazed. Sometimes, tracks like this one help me get to that state of mind.
